At Concho Valley ER, patients are always seen by a Physician.
Physicians
Physician credentialing and staffing is provided by Concho Valley Emergency Physicians, PLLC. All physicians are trained in Emergency Medicine and are Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified.
Ultrasound Providers
If a Physician determines that the patient's emergency care requires Ultrasound imaging, one of our highly skilled individually contracted Sonographers will prepare the patient and complete the Ultrasound imaging. A Physicians will review the results with the patient to determine next steps.
Radiology Providers
Medical imaging that is ordered by our ER Physicians are reviewed by Board Certified Radiologists with Synergy Radiology Associates, PA. The Concho Valley ER Physician will review the Radiologist report with the patient prior to discharged. Should the patient require follow up care outside of this facility, our staff will assist in coordinating referrals.
Laboratory Tests
While most laboratory tests ordered by our Physicians can be processed in our on-site lab, there are instances that require specimens to be sent out. Send out labs are processed by Shannon Medical Center and may require a few hours to a few days to receive results. If the patient is discharged prior to receiving send out lab results, clinical staff will contact the patient once results have been received to review and coordinate any recommended follow up care such as referrals or prescriptions.
